Dorian Boccolacci will debut in F2 at MP Motorsport in Spa

The start of the school year will be at the higher level for Dorian Boccolacci in Spa. The 19-year-old Frenchman, engaged this year with MP Motorsports in GP3 Series, will be promoted by the Dutch team in F2 in the Ardennes, replacing Roberto Merhi, who had started since the start of the season and had won a third place in Monaco.

Boccolacci, winner of the last race held in Hungary earlier in the summer in the GP3 Series, will therefore make his debut in F2 this weekend by supporting Ralph Boschung.

“I am grabbing this opportunity with both hands, comments the native of Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes). Being promoted to F2 halfway through my second season in GP3 is a sign of confidence from MP Motorsport, a team I have done very well with.

I'm looking forward to benefiting from more downforce and power on the most exciting track on the calendar. »

Boccolacci will be replaced in the GP3 Series at MP Motorsport by the Dutchman Richard Verschoor, a resident of the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 with Josef Kaufmann Racing.
