London and New York E-Prix canceled, what solutions for Formula E?

After Sanya, Rome, Paris, Seoul and Jakarta, it is the turn of the E-Prix in New York (July 11) and London (July 25-26) to be canceled.

Concerning the English round, the promoter explained that the Excel center supposed to host the event had been requisitioned as a field hospital in the fight against Covid-19.

« We are evaluating the possibility of organizing a race in Great Britain later this season, explained the organization. However, depending on the circumstances, this event could be played behind closed doors. »

As uncertainties also reign around the German round (for the moment only postponed), scheduled on the Berlin-Tempelhof circuit, the end of the 2019-2020 season is struggling to take shape.

The organizers would like to organize a minimum of three meetings, in particular so that the title can be awarded. They would evaluate the possibility of doing some of them on permanent circuits (Silverstone? Valencia? Portimao?), or even in Asian countries having generally emerged from the health crisis. We think in particular of South Korea and its capital: Seoul.

But the idea is also not to go beyond mid-September, so as not to disrupt the upcoming campaign.
