Edoardo Mortara (Venturi) finally won his first victory in Formula E, after recovering success in Hong Kong on the green carpet, following the penalty inflicted on Sam Bird (Virgin), winner on the track under the checkerboard, but placed under investigation for a contact with André Lotterer (DS Techeetah).
Bird was penalized 5″ on his race time for his maneuver, which caused a puncture on the car of Lotterer, ruining the chances of first success in Formula E for the three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Mortara, who also gave Venturi his first victory in Formula E, won ahead of Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler) and Robin Frijns, who reached the podium and alleviated the disappointment of Bird's penalty in the Virgin clan. Racing.
The top 5 is completed by Daniel Abt (Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler) and Felipe Massa (Venturi). Bird ultimately finished sixth.
