F1 / GP2 – Felipe Nasr ready to refuse Marussia and Caterham?

Felipe Nasr is currently competing in his third season in the GP2 Series and appears to be Jolyon Palmer's most serious rival in the conquest of the title with four rounds remaining in the season. Helped by its financial support Banco da Brazil, the 2011 champion of F3 British was able to set foot in F1 in front of the team's reserve driver Williams Racing. But with the good services of Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa, the resident of the Carlin team is aware that he must study other possibilities for the rest of his career.

The Brazilian confirmed on Sportv that he was already in discussions to try to find a starting place next year but that he was directly targeting a mid-grid team without wishing to go through Marussia or Caterham. “I don’t think I would accept it. It's almost like racing in GP2. It might even be better to continue in GP2 because I won't burn my wings in F1. I'm not saying I want a fantastic team, but a mid-field team would allow me to fight for points. I believe it is possible. It's hard to find a place at Williams because both drivers are doing a good job and the team doesn't want to change them. I'm going to follow all the teams and see what happens. Williams gave me a very good insight into what to expect in F1. I participate in all the events and I follow all the radio conversations. »
