F2 – C2: First victory for Sette Câmara

From the start, everything is at stake since the entire first line composed of Norman Born (Arden) and Roberto Merhi (Rapax) skate and allow Sergio Sette Chamber (MP Motorsport) to emerge from the 3e place at the head of the race. Nyck De Vries also manages to seize the 2e instead.

At the back, Oliver Rowland (DAMS) and Charles Leclerc (Prema) gained 8 and 6 places in the first round. But once the Briton passed the Monegasque, the Prema pilot was able to take off. In 14 laps, Leclerc moved up 14 places and finished in 5e place after a difficult overtaking on Merhi.

Three laps from the finish, the race was neutralized by the violent accident of Nobuharu Matushita (ART GP) who crushed his car at the top of Raidillon. The Japanese manages to escape his car alone but the race does not restart.

Sergio Sette Câmara takes his first victory in F2, the first for MP Motorsport since Marco Sorensen in 2014. He is ahead of Nyck de Vries (Racing Engineering) and Luca Ghiotto (Russian Time) on the podium. Norman Nato finishes 4e in front of Charles Leclerc. Roberto Merhi is 6e and ahead of Antonio Fuoco (Prema). Oliver Rowland gets into the points in 8e places and precedes his teammate Nicholas latifi and Santino Ferrucci (Trident) completes the top 10.
