Luca Ghiotto will move from the Russian Time team to Campos Racing for the 2018 FIA F2 season.

F2 – Luca Ghiotto moves to Campos Racing

Fourth in the 2017 FIA championship F2, with a victory in a sprint race on his home soil of Monza in Italy, Luca Ghiotto will continue his career in the series in 2018, but will swap his seat from Russian Time for that of racing fields, the Russian team, winner of the Teams ranking last year, not having extended its commitment.

The 3 GP2015 vice-champion joins a structure which mainly aligned Ralph Boschung and Robert Visoiu last year, and which had allowed Lando Norris, FIA European champion F3, to make his debut in the discipline in Abu Dhabi.

“Adrian Campos (Spanish team boss) has one of the highest culture in motorsport due to his past as a racing driver. Formula 1 and his experience as a successful team manager, comments the new recruit who took part in the end-of-season testing in Abu Dhabi with MP Motorsport.

This is a great opportunity for me because Campos Racing has shown many times that it is one of the best teams for a young driver and I intend to take advantage of this opportunity, while doing the best job possible for the team. »

The first tests of the year will take place at Paul-Ricard (Var) from March 6 to 8, where the Ghiotto – Campos tandem will be able to discover the new car F2 2018, notably equipped with the Halo system.
