F2 – Rapax confirms Cecotto Jr and De Vries

Nyck de Vries and Johny Cecotto Jr have been confirmed at Rapax for the 2017 season of the F2, new name for the GP2 Series. The Venezuelan will continue with the Italian team after making his return to the discipline last year, after several seasons contested in the antechamber of the F1.

“Our collaboration began last year in Malaysia and I immediately felt good there, explained Johnny Cecotto who turned last year to the World Series Formula V8 3.5 with RP Motorsport. We then took a 2nd place in Abu Dhabi and competed in three fantastic days of testing (on the Yas Marina circuit) which prepared well for this new season. I'm really looking forward to getting behind the wheel next Monday. »

On the other hand, it will be a new stage for Nyck de Vries, 6th last year in the GP3 Series with ART Grand Prix.
