George Russell and Alexander Albon set the two best times of the last day of F2 testing on the Paul Ricard circuit (Var).

F2 – Russell and Albon conclude testing ahead

The first session was dominated by the ART Grand Prix of George Russell and Jack Aitken. With a reference time of 1'42''396, the young driver Mercedes set the best time of the day while being the best rookie of the morning. Nyck de Vries (Prema Racing) is the 3e man of the morning relegated to 4 tenths of the British leader.

The second session sees Alexander albon (DAMS) set the best mark with a time of 1'42''923, a performance achieved at the very end of the session. He is ahead of Arjun Maini (Trident) who finished the tests as best beginner, one tenth behind the Thai. Lando Norris (Carlin) finishes 3e of this last session, the Briton is the holder of the absolute best time of the tests achieved Wednesday morning (1'42''226). Daniel Ticktum (DAMS) finishes 4e of the evening, the winner of the last Macau Grand Prix carrying out his first tests in F2 replacing Oliver Rowland.

The next tests will take place from March 21 to 23 on the Sakhir circuit (Bahrain) before the first round of the season at the beginning of April on the same circuit.
