FE – Bird favors New York

Engaged in the world endurance championship with Ferrari in GTE-Pro and in Formula E with DS Virgin, Sam bird favors the championship car in the USA.

« With the first FIA motorsport event in New York, FE continues to expand and break the mold and it’s great to be a part of it, explains the Englishman.

« I know we will put on a great show for New Yorkers and I expect a lot of people to come for both days. »

Sam Bird is one of the drivers to have started every Formula E race in history, which delighted his team, the same since 2014.

« We are excited to have him in New York and maintain some continuity in the team, comments Alex Tai, Team Principal of DS Virgin. 

« As for Sam's teammate, Jose Maria Lopez unfortunately won't be able to be with us because of the clash with the 6 Hours of Nürburgring. »

Pechito étant retenu par Toyota pour la manche de championnat du monde d’endurance, Alex Lynn pourrait faire ses débuts en tant que titulaire en son titre de pilote de réserve de l’équipe anglaise. Un communiqué officiel est attendu dans les prochains jours.
