Fe – Blomqvist replaces Frijns at Andretti

The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) revealed on Thursday the list of participants for the fourth season of Formula e (2017-18). The only surprise concerns the Andretti team. The American team, which has extended Antonio Felix Da Costa in its ranks, has enlisted the Briton Tom Blomqvist.

Tom Blomqvist will replace Robin Frijns. The Dutch, recent winner of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup with Audi, was not preserved due to its links with the brand with the rings. Andretti has in fact entered into a technical agreement with another German manufacturer, BMW, which will serve as the basis for official training in 2018.

Tom Blomqvist, son of 1984 world rally champion Stig Blomqvist, has had a contract as a factory BMW driver since 2015. He finished 17th in the DTM this season and will make its Fe debut at the Hong Kong ePrix (December 2-3), first round of the calendar.
