FE – Buemi and Prost extend with Renault e.dams

On the eve of the Berlin e-Prix, the reference team in the championship Formula E confirmed the presence of its two pilots, Sébastien Buemi et Nicolas Cheers, until 2019. Between them, they won eleven FE races, a driver's title for Buemi and allowed the team to win the two manufacturers' titles.

« We have a team of drivers who have enjoyed success so far, declares Alain Prost, co-founder of the team. So it was very important for us to maintain stability in this team given the developments we are already making for Season 5."

For this season 3, Renault e.Dams is comfortably at the top of the team rankings with a 75-point lead, notably thanks to the 5 victories of Sébastien Buemi, also well ahead in the drivers' championship.

« I am very happy to continue the adventure, declares the Swiss pilot. So far the team has done a fantastic job and allowed me to have the best car in the field. I couldn't ask for better. I am therefore delighted to be able to continue to fight to offer victories to my team."

Nicolas Prost currently occupies third place in the standings behind Lucas Di Grassi.

« I am obviously delighted to continue with Renault e.dams for the next two years, comments the Frenchman.

« We know each other and get along very well. We are going to work very hard to finish this third season well and prepare as best as possible for seasons 4 and 5. The level continues to rise but we want to maintain ourselves at the best level. »
