Fe – Buemi fastest at Punta del Este tests

Sébastien Buemi was the fastest in the tests of the Formula E carried out yesterday in Punta del Este (Uruguay) the day after the ePrix rightly won by the Renault e.dams driver. The Swiss completed a lap in 1’13”218, beating Jérôme d’Ambrosio’s (Dragon Racing) pole position by two seconds last Saturday.

The Swiss driver beat his closest rivals by more than half a second. Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Virgin Racing) finished in second position, preceding his compatriots Nicolas Cheers (Renault e.dams) and Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi FE). Antonio Félix da Costa (Team Aguri) completed the top five, completing only 15 laps.

Loïc duval (Dragon Racing) placed eighth ahead of Sam Bird (DS Virgin Racing), the first driver more than two seconds behind the benchmark. The Briton was the most diligent with 49 laps covered.

Jérôme d’Ambrosio (Dragon Racing) took 12th place while Jacques Villeneuve (Venturi FE) ranked 16th ahead of Lucas di Grassi (Abt Audi Sport). Nathanaël Berthon (Team Aguri) finished 18th, preceding test driver Zhang da Sheng (Nextev TCR).
