Sébastien Buemi takes his second victory of the Formula E season by winning ahead of Lucas di Grassi and Jérôme d'Ambrosio at the Punta del Este ePrix.

Fe – Buemi wins ahead of di Grassi in Punta del Este

After the Beijing ePrix (China), Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams) wins his second race of the season by winning in Punta del Este (Uruguay). The Swiss made a good start from fifth position and got rid of Loïc duval (Dragon Racing) and Sam Bird (DS Virgin Racing) before taking the advantage over pole sitter Jérôme d'Ambrosio (Dragon Racing).

Lucas di Grassi took advantage of the passage to the pits to move into second place ahead of the Dragon drivers, Jérôme d'Ambrosio completing the podium after losing time in the pits by ahead of his teammate who remained threatening until the end of the race. The Brazilian nevertheless cedes control of the Championship to the winner by one point.

Nicolas Cheers (Renault e.dams) completes the top five and allows his team to take the lead in the Teams' Championship with two points ahead of Abt Audi Sport.

Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Virgin) made a good comeback from 18th position to rank seventh. The Frenchman took advantage of the Fan Boost (with Stéphane Sarrazin and Sam Bird) and the exit from the track of Nelson Piquet Jr (Nextev TCR) who was certainly distracted after his contact with the French driver.

Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi FE) is ninth between Daniel Abt (Abt Audi Sport) and Robin Frijns (Andretti FE). Nathanaël Berthon (Team Aguri) takes 14th place.

Sam Bird (DS Virgin Racing) was in the fight for the podium before retiring with a mechanical problem.
