FE – First victory for Rosenqvist

Starting from third position, Felix Rosenqvist took advantage of the poor start of Jose Maria Lopez (DS Virgin) to take second place behind Lucas Di Grassi (Abt Schaeffler) who started in pole position. In the meantime, Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams) did not gain any place at the start and remained in 14^e position.

The classification did not change before arriving in the pits since Rosenqvist passed Di Grassi before the car change and came out in front of him. Buemi was back in 9^e position before stopping.

Apart from Sam Bird (DS Virgin) having lost three places during the pit stops, the hierarchy of the front was not shaken before Buemi began his comeback by overtaking Bird, Daniel Abt (Abt Schaeffler), and his teammate Nicolas Cheers (Renault e.dams). He was unable to pass Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah) for 5^e place but the Frenchman received a 5-second penalty for ‘unsafe release’ when changing cars.

Felix Rosenqvist therefore signed his first victory in Formula E and the first for Mahindra ahead of Lucas Di Grassi and Nick Heidfeld who completed the podium for the Indian team. Jose Maria Lopez finished 4^e ahead of the Renault e.dams of Buemi and Prost. Daniel Abt and Sam Bird followed while Vergne was ranked 9^e after his penalty. Maro Engel (Venturi) completed the top 10. On the French side, Stéphane Sarrazin (Techeetah) finished 12^e, Loïc duval (Faraday Future Dragon Racing) finished 16^e while Tom Dillmann (Venturi) was 19^e after a drive through for using too much energy.
