Fe – Vergne on pole ahead of Buemi in Berlin

Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Virgin Racing) took pole for the Berlin ePrix by setting a time of 57”811 in the final qualifying session. The Frenchman was ahead by a hundredth Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams). The Swiss will have a great opportunity to catch up with Championship leader Lucas di Grassi (Abt Audi Sport) who will only start from tenth position. Daniel Abt (Abt Audi Sport) will start in third position.

Bruno Senna and Nick Heidfeld, the two Mahindra Racing drivers who initially qualified fourth and fifth, will start at the back of the grid. The Indian team was penalized after making an error in tire pressure.

Sam Bird (DS Virgin Racing) and Nelson Piquet Jr (Nextev TCR) inherit the places from the Mahindra drivers. Nicholas Cheers (Renault e.dams) inherits sixth place while Loïc duval (Dragon Racing) will start from ninth position.

Jérôme d’Ambrosio (Dragon Racing) and Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi) will also have to start from the back of the grid after being penalized. The Belgian will occupy 18th position behind the Frenchman.

The Berlin ePrix will be followed live from 15:50 p.m. on Canal+ Décalé.
