Felipe Nasr eyes IndyCar

Felipe Nasr was invited by his compatriot Helio Castroneves to visit the paddock of theIndyCar in Watkins Glen (New York) this weekend. The former Sauber driver saw his contract end with the teamHinwil last year. The Brazilian is now looking to bounce back to continue his career in a high-level championship.

“I have known the Carlin staff (registered in Indy Lights) for several years, notably in British F3 and F2. So we have a good relationship and it’s nice to see them doing well in Indy Lights. It’s good to be able to discover the discipline here, this Championship has always attracted me”, commented Felipe Nasr on NBC Sports.

Felipe Nasr confirmed that he was interested in different disciplines for his future.

“It all happened late last year. News of the non-renewed contract with Sauber only came in December, recalled Felipe Nasr. It was late to find a steering wheel in another discipline. I continue to drive in other championships this year. So I will ride next year, but I don’t really know where yet. Championships likeIMSA, the IndyCar, the Formula e, WEC are disciplines with high visibility and good levels of competition. »

Felipe Nasr has 39 Grand Prix starts. His best result was a 5th place on his first start at the 2015 Australian GP.
