Formula E – Buemi new testing benchmark at Donington

Sébastien Buemi (e.dams) set the new benchmark for Formula E testing at Donington by setting a time of 1'31"390 on the third day, beating by 63 thousandths the time of Lucas di Graddi (Audi Sport Abt) set on second day. “It was a very productive day, but it wasn’t about setting the best time”, assures the Swiss who completed 28 laps. “It is rather a question of better understanding the car and the different mapping settings. The car was very reliable throughout the day. It's nice to be behind the wheel of a car with which you have confidence and where you can attack. We still have a few issues to resolve but the session was productive. »

Lucas di Grassi remained competitive as he finished in third position, three tenths off the reference time and two tenths behind Jérôme d'Ambrosio (China Racing) who was trying to find his way for the season. The Brazilian focused on battery management and race simulations. Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi) follows in fourth position, being the most diligent with 65 loops completed, ahead of Jaime Alguersuari (Virgin Racing) and Nicolas Cheers (e.dams). Franck Montagny (Andretti Autosport) was further behind as he completed the ranking with the 18th fastest time, more than eight seconds behind the best lap.

Oriol Servia (Dragon Racing) caused the first red flag of the day by stopping on the track. The Spaniard finished in 11th place. Michela Cerruti (TrulliGP) was able to make up part of her delay from last week by completing 22 laps and setting the 13th time, 2” from the new benchmark.
