Formula E – More races in the future

The new Formula E electric single-seater world championship will begin this year on September 20 in Beijing, China. Many important structures in the world of motorsport are committed to this new motorsport adventure, such as Andretti Autosport or DAMS. If the 2014 calendar only has ten races, the future already seems bright for the discipline.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, the Formula E calendar will include 20 races by 2019. In addition, this expansion could be an excellent financial deal for the FIA which should collect the entry fees from each of the ten teams registered in the FIA Formula E .

The championship organizers would also pay nearly 15 million euros to the FIA over the ten years of the contract.
