Formula E – TrulliGP replaces Drayson Racing

Formula E will be well contested by ten teams but it will ultimately be TrulliGP which will be entered instead of Drayson Racing following the latter's withdrawal. Jarno Trulli today confirmed his participation as both driver and team manager of the eponymous team which will retain Drayson Technologies as a technical partner to work on wireless charging technology.

Jarno Trulli thus joins the list of already known drivers with Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi at Audi Sport Abt, Sam Bird and Jaime Alguersuari at Virgin Racing, Bruno Senna and Karun Chandhok with Mahindra Racing and Franck Montagny at Andretti Autosport. “After having a fantastic experience in F1, my commitment to Formula E will undoubtedly be a new challenge for me, not only as a driver but also as a team principal. This new chapter is even more exciting knowing that we will fight at the highest level with clean energy thanks to the support of Drayson Technologies. I am delighted to be part of the pioneers of this project”, comments the 39-year-old Italian.
