The Frenchman dominated a large part of the session in his ART Grand Prix, which MP Motorsport teammates Dennis Hauger and Jehan Daruvala tried to outclass... but the session was interrupted by a double yellow flag, later transformed into red flag, Monegasque Arthur Leclerc stopped with his DAMS and unable to return to the pits. A second red flag came later in the session, the victim of which was Roman Stanek.

His teammate in the Trident team, the Frenchman Clément Novalak, long occupied second place behind his compatriot from ART. He finished his last day of pre-season testing in 7th position, half a second behind the best lap. Victor Martins and Isack Hadjar finished 17th and 21st respectively.
