Formula 2: Novalak joins MP Motorsport for the end of the season and for 2022

He is the first pilot of Formula 2 to officially announce its participation in the 2022 vintage. After two seasons in F3 which saw him reach third place in the championship thanks to superb consistency with Trident in 2021, Clément Novalak is preparing to move up to the next level. The Frenchman who lives in England has indeed signed with MP Motorsport in Formula 2 for the next campaign.

In order to prepare it as best as possible, he also specified that he would take part in the last two rounds of the current exercise, scheduled for Jeddah (December 3-5) and Abu Dhabi (December 10-12), in order to get used to the new car, this new environment and the pit stops, mainly.

For its part, MP Motorsport confirmed the information and announced the identity of the driver that Clément will replace at the end of the season. This is the German Lirim Zendeli, who himself revealed that he was in financial difficulty. Novalak should therefore be associated with Richard Verschoor, 10th in the championship and author of a victory this year at Silverstone.

“I am incredibly excited to announce that I have reached an agreement with MP Motorsport to drive alongside them in the final two rounds of the season, and for the full year of 2022.”, he shared on his social networks. After a first year of discovery of F3 at Carlin, where he impressed as a rookie in a team not to his advantage in the category, the Habs achieved four podiums in 2021 and brought back third place in the championship.
