Funny weekend that Isack Hadjar (Campos) experienced in the Antipodes. In not even 24 hours, the member of the Red Bull Junior Team went through all its emotions. That of his first victory in F2, that of rage which deprived him of this success and finally that of deliverance.

Because after having been cruelly penalized the day before, the Frenchman took his revenge. And how ! This time, the tide has turned in his favor after he has been so unlucky since the start of the year. So, Isack Hadjar did not miss his chance.

« It does a lot of good, he whispered into the microphone of Canal +, still over the moon after his first victory in F2. Here (SATURDAY), it was taken away from me and it was hard to accept but hey… In my head, I still won it, I crossed the line first. Today (Sunday), I also crossed the finish line first. For me, these are two victories even if on an accounting level this is not the case. For me it matters. [I am] very happy."

A victory at the best of times for Isack Hadjar

For the Ile-de-France resident, this success is timely. While he has swallowed the snakes since the start of the 2024 financial year, the driver of the Spanish team is now back in the title race. If the leader Zane Maloney (Rodin Motorsport) is still 28 points ahead of him (62 against 34), Isack Hadjar can boast of having seized his chance just before an interruption of almost two months. Indeed, F2 will only resume in May at Imola (17-19). Ideal before recharging the batteries.

« Finding that momentum before a big hole feels good, he admits We clearly deserve it since the start of the championship. We play in front in all the races. It's huge to be rewarded like this. This shows that work pays off. I believe in the law of series, and I think we will play for the title."

Finally, the Habs praised all the work put in by his team, whose first experience in F2 last year with Hitech GP never really took off.

« I won't spit [so] on Hitech because it is part of my apprenticeship and I have good memories with the team, but it is certain that with Campos the work is better done, he continues. I get along very well with my engineer. I also have experience in F2 so it is normal that my level increases."
