Title objective for Victor Martins, who continues with ART Grand Prix in 2024

Never two without three ? Titled in Formula Renault Eurocup (2020) and in FIA Formula 3 (2022) with the ART Grand Prix team, Victor Martins has decided to continue the great adventure Formula 2 with his favorite team. Already a resident of the structure led by Sébastien Philippe last season for his first campaign in F2, the Ile-de-France resident had known how to burn the retina at times, by being one of the best in the championship on a lap (3 pole positions), and by finishing best rookie of the year.

Author of one victory and ten podiums last year, Victor finished 5th in the championship in 2023, 53 points behind his teammate Theo Pourchaire, titled at the end of its third season. Without small learning errors at the start of the year, Martins would probably have fought for the title until the last race. If he does not speak openly about the 2024 crown, the Frenchman has never been the type to hide his objectives.

Title objective for Victor Martins

“With ART Grand Prix, we have a common past made of passion and which has been crowned by several titles. I hope that we will add one in 2024 which will be a decisive season for my project. But I won't have my eyes fixed on the ranking: I want to correct last year's mistakes, manage the championship over time and always obtain the best possible result, whether the circumstances are favorable or complicated. And then there is no shortage of serious competitors. There is an element of unknowns with a new car, but I trust ART Grand Prix to get the most out of it. The team surrounds me perfectly, just like Alpine, I have all the cards in hand to achieve my goals. » 

The boss of the Ile-de-France team is making no secret of the end-of-year objective, after having been 2023 champion for both teams and drivers. “The collaboration between ART Grand Prix and Victor dates back to 2020 when he was titled in Formula Renault. It has been rich and successful and we have progressed together. So I wasn't considering not continuing the adventure with Victor. His first year of Formula 2 was very good and educational. It allowed him to constantly fight for pole position and victory. In 2024, our common objective will logically be to erase the small mistakes of last season and win the title. » The Habs will have as teammate Zak O'Sullivan, the reigning F3 vice-champion and member of the Williams Academy.
