The 2021 season of Formula 2 is close to delivering its verdict. After a two-month hiatus, the drivers meet again this weekend in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), before heading to Yas Marina (Abu Dhabi) next week. In the ranking, Oscar piastri (Prema Racing) is best placed to win the championship title, since the Australian has a lead of 36 points over Guanyu-Zhou (Uni-Virtuosi). The former champion of Formula 3 with the Italian team wants to remain cautious before entering the final stages.

“Risk-taking will be limited, and my objective for Saudi Arabia is to try to keep at least the same points gap over the competitors. So yes, we're not going to do anything special. But I don’t think I’m taking any risks because it’s up to others to take them now.”

Despite a potential title in F2, Oscar Piastri did not find any free seat in Formula 1 for next season. The future reserve driver for Alpine welcomed the change in format in F2 for next season.

“The current format has received its fair share of criticism for this year, so I won't elaborate on that. I don't think it helped any of the drivers for next season. Yes, I'm really happy that they are changing it for next year, with the return to two races per weekend. I think it will be much better than this year ».
