Nothing can resist Oscar piastri (Prema) this season. Author of his third pole position in a row in F2, what only Charles Leclerc, Alexander albon and George Russell had managed to make it this far, the Australian achieved a second success in a row in the main race, thanks to his victory acquired this Sunday in Sochi. The Aussie has moved ahead Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) and the Indian Jehan Daruvala (Carlin).

Author of a perfect start which saw Théo Pourchaire get the better of Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) when the lights went out, Piastri managed his race perfectly without making the slightest mistake. The Frenchman, who remained on the track for one more lap on his Super Soft tires, managed to pass the reigning champion of the Formula 3 thanks to his pit stop, but Piastri, who had had one more lap to warm up his tires, was able to easily pass the Tricolore again in Lap 11. Behind, the two men played together as they moved up the traffic made up of drivers who were on another tire strategy, but the driver Alpine managed his end of the race perfectly and did not get trapped by the pressure that Pourchaire put on him.

The operation is in any case perfect for both men. Since Oscar Piastri takes seventeen points from his runner-up Guanyu-Zhou (UNI-Virtuosi) in the championship. The Chinese, who started 4th, lost four places at the start and could not do better than 6th. He now has Robert Shwartzman (Prema) just seven points behind him in the championship. Théo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) remains fifth, but he is falling into the top 3 in the championship since he is only fifteen points behind the Russian driver. The next F2 round will take place on December 3 in Saudi Arabia.
