We will have to wait to see the brand established by Ralph Boschung (Campos) this Tuesday to be beaten in Catalonia. During this 2e day of testing in Barcelona, no one was able to match the 1'27"929 lap achieved by the Swiss the day before. Only one driver was able to run below 1'29 this Wednesday: Roy Nissany.
The Israeli from DAMS dominated this 2e day Catalan thanks to a best lap of 1'28"812 achieved during the morning session under the gray sky of Barcelona. Behind, no other driver was able to challenge Roy Nissany's mark. Whether it was Richard Verschoor (Trident), Ayumu Iwasa (DAMS) or even Ralph Boschung, all finished more than half a second behind the member of the Williams Driver Academy.
At the 2e session of the day, it was Marcus Armstrong (Hitech GP) who dominated the timesheet. The New Zealander, still under the Catalan gray, remained far from the reference of his Israeli counterpart with a best lap of 1'29 almost a second away. After 752 hours of driving, he was ahead of Felipe Drugovich (Hitech GP) and Jüri Vips (Hitech GP) by 3 tenths and 2 tenths respectively. Amaury Cordeel (VAR) and Dennis Hauger (Prema) completed the Top 3.

On the tricolor side, Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) achieved a 6e chrono as the best performance of his day with a time of 1'29"837 achieved during the first outing. The 2e was more discreet for the Frenchman who finished 17e more than 4 seconds from the head probably working on another axis. Clément Novalak (MP Motorsport) did the exact opposite of his compatriot. After a morning at the back of the peloton, the native of Avignon returned to the Top 10 at the end of the day with a 7e time (1'30“950).
Note that the drivers will carry out a final day of testing this Thursday with two new driving sessions.
