Ultimately, more fear than harm for Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix)! Victim of an impressive accident in Jeddah last Sunday during the start of the third race, the Frenchman confirmed on his social networks that he was sufficiently recovered to participate in the final meeting of the season this weekend in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi to end the year well

While his title hopes in F2 have definitely evaporated during the previous weekend in Saudi Arabia, Théo Pourchaire will still have the opportunity to end the season well at Yas Marina in the coming days. Relegated to almost ninety points from its rival Oscar piastri (Prema) in the championship, the Frenchman was especially the victim last Sunday of a terrifying accident. Frozen on the starting grid after suddenly stalling when the lights went out, the ART Grand Prix driver was violently hit by Enzo Fittipaldi (Charouz) traveling at more than 200 km/h. Although the young Brazilian suffered serious injuries (fractured heel and stitches in the eyebrow arch), Théo Pourchaire escaped almost unscathed, suffering only some muscle pain.

But it is therefore with relief that he will participate in the last three races of the year, with always in his sights, a place on the final podium of the championship, occupied for the moment by Robert Shwartzman – second with 162 points – and Guanyu-Zhou – third with 149 units – (compared to 132 for Pourchaire, currently fifth). At least that's what we wish for the young French prodigy, at the end of a season littered with ups and downs.
