- Isack Hadjar (Hitech GP) will have to wait a little longer before enjoying his first victory in Formula 2. Starting in pole position in the Sprint Race, the Habs were unable to complete it even though the chances of winning were very great.
- Still in the lead when the Safety Car intervened on the third lap, Isack Hadjar was taken by surprise by a recalcitrant mechanic. When relaunching the Sprint Race, the protégé of Red Bull has in fact suddenly slowed down letting his opponents pass one by one. On the radio, the Frenchman announced a puncture before mentioning an engine failure. Hitech GP finally confirmed a few moments later a mechanical problem on the Ile-de-France driver's car, forcing him to throw in the towel.

- The misfortunes of Isack Hadjar brought happiness to Ayumu Iwasa (DAMS). His counterpart on the mat, the Japanese did not hold back to take the lead of the race and never let go. Despite a new intervention by the Safety Car after the accident of Amaury Cordeel (Virtuosi), well helped by Juan Manuel Correa (VAR), the one who is also part of the Red Bull Junior Team did not tremble and sped off alone around his 3e victory of the season after the Sprint in Saudi Arabia and the Main Race in Australia.
- With this result, Ayumu Iwasa regains the lead of the championship since Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix), part 9e due to the inverted grid, was only able to score the point of the 8e place. With 68 points, Nippon is two steps ahead of the Habs and four ahead of Fredrik Vesti (Prema).
