Formula e – Alex Lynn becomes DS Virgin Racing reserve driver

Alongside incumbents Sam Bird and Jose Maria Lopez, DS Virgin Racing confirmed this Monday the recruitment of Briton Alex Lynn to the position of reserve and development pilot.

Having successfully completed the GP3 Series, with a championship title in 2014 with Carlin, Lynn joined the upper echelon of the GP2 Series the following year within the French structure DAMS, while being integrated into the development program of the 'stable Williams en F1.

« As a driver you want to compete in the best championship, that's why I'm trying to get a place in Formula e, with the right team, explains Lynn. I am therefore delighted to have been able to sign with DS Virgin Racing. ".

With the clashes of dates between the 100% electric single-seater championship and the World Championship ofEndurance, where Sam Bird and José María López will be entered in 2017, Alex Lynn could very quickly start racing, in addition to his responsibilities in the Satory simulator.
