At the end of an ePrix marked by multiple twists and turns, the Portuguese Antonio Felix Da Costa achieved his first success in Formula E.

Formula E – Antonio Felix Da Costa winner in Buenos Aires

The fourth round of the Championship Formula E will have reserved a suspenseful finale for the Argentine public of Buenos Aires. The first part of the race saw the Swiss Sébastien Buemi logically dominate at the wheel of your Spark-Renault SRT_01E from the French team e.dams-Renault. Starting from pole position, the World ChampionEndurance led the peloton in front Nick Heidfeld (Venturi) who had taken the best of Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport Abt). Shortly before halfway, Karun Chandhok (Mahindra) provoked the entry onto the track of the safety car after being immobilized following a broken suspension.

After the changes of car and the return of the Safety Car, Sébastien Buemi regained control of the race, but had to give up shortly after. The Swiss would likely have hit the wall at the entrance to the chicane, causing a break in the suspension at the front right. Lucas di Grassi saw himself propelled into the lead, but in turn retired shortly after, its right rear suspension having given way.

The German Nick Heidfeld thought he would recover the victory, but a penalty for speeding in the pits ruined his chances, and leaving Antonio Felix DaCosta offer the first success in Formula E to the training Amlin Aguri, Nicolas Cheers (e.dams-Renault) takes 2nd place after taking advantage of contact between Daniel Abt (Audi Sport Abt) and Jaime Alguersuari (Virgin Racing) in the last lap. The Brazilian Nelson Piquet Jr. (China Racing) completes the podium ahead of Alguersuari, Bruno Senna (Mahindra) and Jean-Eric Vergne (Andretti Autosport). Stephane Sarrazin (Venturi) finished 11th.

Nelson Piquet Jr (China Racing), third in the Buenos Aires ePrix (Argentina), will receive a five-place penalty on the grid for the next race (in Miami, Florida, March 14) for being too fast under diet yellow flag. Jarno Trulli (Trulli), who retired, will have to move back ten places following a gearbox change. Salvador Duran (Amlin Aguri), initially 8th, was excluded for having exceeded the authorized power limit.

In the general classification, Lucas di Grassi however retains control of the championship among the Drivers, just like e.dams-Renault in the Teams classification.
