Formula e – Buemi on pole for the final

Best times in the group stages, the two single-seaters of Renault e.dams confirmed their good intentions in Super Pole. Thanks to an impressive time of 1’22”033, Sébastien Buemi won his third pole position this season, while relegating all of his rivals to almost a second. The three points that the Swiss won at the same time allowed him to come back to level with Lucas di Grassi (Schaeffler Abt Audi Sort) in the championship, the suspense is therefore complete at Battersea Park.

To help him in his quest for the title, Buemi will eventually be able to count on the help of his teammate Nicolas Cheers, winner yesterday, who will start alongside him on the first row of the starting grid. Di Grassi will start just behind the Frenchman. The Brazilian will precede an astonishing Oliver Turvey (Nextev TCR) and the German Nick Heidfeld (Mahindra), last qualified for the Super Pole.

Unlike yesterday, Lucas di Grassi will not be able to count on the help of his stablemate Daniel Abt, sixth in the group stages. The German is ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Virgin Racing) and the Briton Sam Bird (DS Virgin Racing), who is fighting with Nicolas Prost for third place in the championship.

Loïc duval (Dragon Racing), who set the tenth fastest time, just ahead of his teammate Jérôme d'Ambrosio, will start from the back of the grid, the fault of a gearbox change yesterday. Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi) will start fifteenth.

The start will be given at 17 p.m. French time.
