Formula E – Dragon Racing signs Jérôme d’Ambrosio

The Belgian Jérôme d'Ambrosio becomes the 17th confirmed driver in the future peloton of the World Championship Formula E and its Spark single-seatersRenault SRT_01E 100% electric. It is on behalf of Jay Penske's American team, Dragon Racing, that d'Ambrosio will compete on September 13 for the opening of the season in China.

“I have watched Dragon Racing carefully over the past few months and I feel that together we can achieve good results in this first season. » admits the Belgian on the Formula E website, he who had notably evolved in F1 with Virgin F1 as a starter before becoming a reserve driver at Lotus in 2012 and 2013.

D'Ambrosio had in fact already driven in Formula E, during the last tests at Donington in England but within China Racing. The Chinese team remains the only one to have to announce its drivers, with Andretti Autosport, which has yet to confirm who will be the teammate of Frenchman Franck Montagny.
