Formula E – Jean-Eric Vergne on pole in Miami

After taking pole position in Uruguay at Punta del Este for his debut in Formula E, Jean-Eric Vergne reiterated his performance during the qualifications of the Miami ePrix in Florida. The Andretti Autosport driver is the only driver to have gone below the 1'06 per lap mark to beat the Brazilian Nelson Piquet Jr (China Racing) by 50 thousandths. Both men had already found themselves in a similar position in Uruguay.

Nicolas Cheers (e.dams-Renault) ranks 3rd after dominating the start of the session and will share the second row of the starting grid with the Briton Sam Bird (Virgin Racing). Another Frenchman climbs into the third line in the person of Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi) 6th behind Daniel Abt (Audi Sport Abt).

Disappointment for Sébastien Buemi (e.dams-Renault) who spun during the session, and will start from 14th position. Charles Pic (China Racing) and Loïc duval (Dragon Racing) bring up the rear in the last line.

The race will start at 21 p.m. French time.
