Held for the first time on the tarmac of Tempelhof Airport during the inaugural season of the Formula e, the Berlin ePrix was moved to the city center in 2015-2016. A location that was however not retained for 2016-2017.
Back on the airport complex, the Berlin event, which will also include two races on June 10 and 11, after the cancellation of the Brussels round in Belgium, will be contested on a new route, unveiled this Monday.
Slightly shortened, with seven fewer turns (ten compared to seventeen), the 2,25 km long track (compared to 2,47 km previously) will be taken in an anti-clockwise direction and has a faster profile than the previous version. .
