Formula E – Long Beach failed at e.dams

The e.dams team left Long Beach (California) frustrated because it still had the means to achieve a good result in the ePrix contested on April 4. Sébastien Buemi failed at the foot of the podium after losing his pole for using too much power, while his teammate Nicolas Cheers finished outside the top ten after being slowed down by power losses and a drive-through following his collision with Jérôme d'Ambrosio (Dragon Racing).

“We knew that the balance was fragile and that the championship would be very close; Nelson Piquet is the 6th winner in as many races and this proves the indecision and the leveling of the forces involved., comments Alain Prost, the co-founder of e.dams. “The penalties suffered, which we do not dispute, clearly influenced our results today. But we also have to understand why we lacked performance in the race. »

Nicolas Prost was only able to set the fastest lap in the race, leaving control of the Championship to Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport Abt). ?My first car really lacked power, I was in a bit of agony. Then, in the peloton I came into contact with D?Ambrosio and the penalty was undoubtedly deserved. But the best lap in the race gives me 2 points which can count for the rest. »
