Formula E – Piquet Jr wins ahead of Vergne at Long Beach

Nelson Piquet Jr (China Racing) became the 6th winner of the Formula E by winning the Long Beach (California) ePrix. The Brazilian took the advantage at the start against Daniel Abt (Audi Sport Abt) and never let go of the lead of the race. The German who inherited pole following the penalty of Sébastien Buemi (e.dams), who started only 10th for having used too much power during qualifying, had to observe a drive-through for the same reasons.

Jean-Éric Vergne (Andretti Autosport) took the opportunity to take 2nd place ahead of Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport Abt). Sébastien Buemi was able to make a nice comeback to take the points for 4th position. Bruno Senna (Mahindra Racing) completes the top five after following an aggressive strategy by completing a fairly long first stint.

Jérôme d'Ambrosio (Dragon Racing) follows in 6th place. Loïc duval (Dragon Racing) is 9th ahead of Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi Racing). Nicholas Cheers (e.dams) is only 14th after receiving a drive-through following contact with D'Ambrosio. Charles Pic (China Racing) is last classified.
