Formula e – Renault e.dams dominates collective testing

Collective testing for the Beijing ePrix, opening round of the Formula e 2015-2016, have just ended. And the least we can say is that Renault e.dams hit hard, hoping for the sake of the competition that the gap observed today is not revealing. On the timesheet, the best time is, in any case, to the credit of Nicolas Cheers, who completed a lap of the Chinese track in 1’37”291. The Frenchman was 0”621 ahead of his Swiss teammate Sébastien Buemi.

If Jean-Eric Vergne completes the top three, the resident of DS Virgin Racing is 2”114 behind the reference mark. Followed by Bruno Senna and Nick Heidfeld, who both defend the colors of Mahindra.

Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi) is 11th, three ranks ahead Loïc duval (Dragon Racing). Nathanaël Berthon (Aguri) and Jacques Villeneuve (Venturi) are 17th and 18th respectively.

Note that the session was cut short by a red flag being waved following problems encountered by the two Nextev-TCR single-seaters. At the very end of the session, Loïc Duval was also forced to stop on the circuit following a mechanical problem.
