Formula e – Sam Bird sets the pace at Donington

The penultimate day of the preliminary trials of the 2015-2016 season of the Formula e at Donington in England, saw the domination of the stable D.S. Virgin Racing. The British Sam bird signed the best time yesterday in 1'30 "451, far from the absolute reference of Lucas di Grassi (ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport) established on August 19.

The rain disrupted the session and no one will be able to improve on this best time, Lucas di Grassi coming within three tenths. French Loïc duval (Dragon Racing) climbs into third position.

Jacques Villeneuve (Venturi) takes fourth place more than 1″5, and precedes Jérôme d’Ambrosio (Dragon Racing), Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi) and Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams). Nathanaël Berthon (Team Aguri) and Nicolas Cheers (Renault e.dams) concluded the day in 10th and 11th positions.

Neither the Andretti team nor the Trulli team set any lap times. Dutchman Robin Frijns should get back behind the wheel of the car from Michael Andretti's stable this Tuesday.
