Formula e – An unprecedented hat-trick for Sébastien Buemi

This week on our website, we asked the question: Sébastien Buemi et Renault e.dams are they untouchable in Formula e ? Given the scenario of the third round of the year this Saturday in Buenos Aires in Argentina, the Franco-Swiss duo once again provided clues to respond favorably to this question.

Buemi will finally take the advantage over Vergne a few laps later to take the lead of the event and never let go of his position until the checkered flag.

The change of car will not modify the hierarchy between Buemi and Vergne, the Swiss winning in front of the former driver Toro Rosso at the arrival. He becomes the first driver to score three consecutive victories in the discipline and now has 75 points on the clock in the championship.

Behind the master duo of this third ePrix of the third Formula e campaign, Lucas di Grassi completes the podium. After a complicated first part of the race for the poleman, who lost several places, falling behind Nicolas Cheers (Renault e.dams) in fifth position.

The Brazilian emerges fourth behind the Frenchman after his car change, and will manage to overtake the son of the quadruple world champion F1 to take the last step of the podium. Under threat of a possible penalty for having been very close to hitting Nelson Piquet Jr (NEXTEV) in the pit lane, di Grassi will ultimately not be sanctioned.

Nicolas Prost (Renault e.dams) finished just off the podium ahead of Nelson Piquet Jr (NEXTEV), Loïc duval (Faraday Future Dragon Racing), Daniel Abt (ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport), Jérôme d'Ambrosio (Faraday Future Dragon Racing), Oliver Turvey (NEXTEV) and José Maria Lopez (DS Virgin Racing) who completes the top 10. Stéphane Sarrazin ( Venturi) takes 12th place.
