The first named, author of the second time in practice, completed a wise race. It was only after mid-effort that the Swiss Venturi attacked the leader Nyck de Vries (Mercedes) with his Brazilian teammate. The two Monegasque single-seaters drove together until Robin Frijns (Envision) overtook Lucas di Grassi, transferred from Audi this winter.
“What a weekend!” Especially after my accident yesterday in Qualifying, I am very happy, declared Edoardo Mortara, author of his third success in FE. The race was great and it's a great result for the whole team. »
Pole sitter Nyck de Vries then lost his feathers during a tussle with the pursuers. Starting sixth, Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah) finished in the same place. The Frenchman, double champion of the electrical discipline, is reassured the day after a complicated opening event.

The Swiss Sébastien Buemi (Nissan e.dams) is 14th, and is not the only strong man in the FE to go astray. Sam Bird (Jaguar) is 16th, with the best time in the race. The race ended under safety car conditions due to the accident of Alexander Sims (Mahindra) around ten minutes from the end.
In the championship, no favorite is to be designated since the first 5 are held within 8 points. Edoardo Mortara dominates the debates with 33 units followed by Nyck de Vries (29), Stoffel Vandoorne (28), Jake Dennis (25) and Lucas di Grasi (25). Among the teams, Venturi and Mercedes are struggling. The first dominates the debates with 58 points, one more than the German team. Behind, the hole is created since Andretti is 31 lengths behind the Monegasque structure.
