DS Automobile will reach a symbolic milestone this weekend in Indonesia. The French brand, present in Formula E since 2015, will celebrate its 100th E-Prix in Jakarta (June 3-4), during the 2nd race held in the Indonesian capital. On this occasion, DS-Penske will display a special livery, with a nod to this “anniversary” in the electric championship. Jean-Éric Vergne, also an ambassador for DS Automobiles, will be equipped with a helmet in the colors of the 100 races.

First involved with the Virgin team between seasons 2 (2015-2016) and 4 (2017-2018), DS then enjoyed great success with the Chinese team Techeetah between seasons 5 (2018-2019) and 8 ( 2021-2022), winning 4 championship titles (2 team titles, 2 driver titles with Jean-Éric Vergne and Antonio Felix Da Costa). Since 2023 and the introduction of the Gen3, DS is now associated with the American team Penske.

“A historic moment” for DS

In 98 races, the French firm has won 16 victories, 47 podiums and 22 pole positions. “It is a historic and moving moment that we will experience in Jakarta, said Eugenio Franzetti, director of DS Performance. First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone who contributed with passion and talent to this extraordinary result. Celebrating 100 races in Formula E is truly a milestone and to do so with our track record is a source of great pride. A few years ago, the DS Automobiles brand decided to create the competition department, DS Performance, and decided to engage in the Formula E world championship. It was a strategic and winning choice. »

This season, DS-Penske won a victory in Hyderabad, thanks to Jean-Éric Vergne, and is currently in 5th place among the manufacturers with 115 points.
