Edoardo Mortara continues his recital at the Berlin ePrix

After dominating qualifying and taking victory on Saturday, Edoardo Mortara (Venturi) continues his perfect weekend in Berlin with a new pole position. The Swiss, in great shape, dominated all his opponents to win the second pole of his career. Nobody could stop him, not even the experienced Robin Frinjs (Envision) who will start alongside him at 15:00 p.m. this Sunday. Nyck De Vries (Mercedes) a retrouvé un second souffle en qualifications après sa 10e place sur la course 1 pour terminer 3e devant l’Allemand André Lotterer (Porsche).

For Robin Frinjs, this second place will put him in a good position to score points for the drivers' classification. With his 12th place the day before, the Dutchman lost his 4th place to the detriment of the fastest driver in Berlin, Edoardo Mortara. In the semi-final, Robin Frinjs took out André Lotterer (Porsche), who lost the championship leader in the previous round to Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes). The Belgian driver was this time dominated by his teammate Nyck De Vries, who seemed far from the top places before qualifying.

Stoffel Vandoorne can still be reassured since despite his 7th place on the grid, he will start in front of his runner-up Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah). The Frenchman failed to qualify for the quarter-finals with the 5th time in his group. He took advantage of Nick Cassidy's (Envision) penalty to move up to 8th. The New Zealander, who changed his power unit, received a penalty and fell from 6th to last place.
