It is a real page in the history of Formula E, and especially Nissan e.dams, which is about to be filmed after the announcement of the departure of Sébastien Buemi. The Swiss driver, titled in the electric formula category in his second season, has known everything within the French structure, formerly named Renault e.dams.
98 starts, 13 victories and a drivers’ title
After eight seasons within the e.dams structure, Buemi will have a change of scenery. If he has not yet been announced within another team, the Swiss driver seems to be seriously approaching the British structure Envision, after having only known the French team in Formula E. Sébastien Buemi had joined Renault e.dams, the team created by Alain Prost, during the very first season of the electric championship, before winning the following year in the drivers' championship. Although he has since finished runner-up three times, the Vaudois experienced more difficulties during his last two seasons, finishing in 21st and 15th place in the general classification.
After 98 starts alongside e.dams, now called Nissan e.dams, 13 victories on the clock and a championship title in 2015, the four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022) is looking for a new challenge. The summer transfer window is already in full swing, while the championship has only just known its outcome, at the end of a final race full of twists and turns which saw Stoffel Vandoorne wins for the first time in his career in the category.
