The front row duel finally turned in favor of Jake Dennis. Well off to a good start, the Englishman was very patient in the first part of the race before going on the attack during the second.

Glued to polesitter Alex Lynn (Mahindra) after the first use of their “Attack Mode”, Jake Dennis lets his counterpart activate his second surplus of energy and takes control of the race for the first time.

Fast despite his rival's advantage, the Briton manages to outdistance him in order to ensure a second passage through the relatively quiet "Attack Mode" less than 20 minutes from the checkerboard.

Untouchable for this first race in the London city, Jake Dennis will no longer be caught and will cross the finish line alone, signing his second success of the campaign.

Behind, Alex Lynn suffered in this second part of the race. Definitely let go by Jake Dennis, the Mahindra driver must above all face the return of Nyck de Vries (Mercedes) very fit in the final moments of the event.

Returning to contact, the latter seized his chance less than 4 minutes from the finish and defeated Alex Lynn who still managed to maintain his 3rd position.

Sébastien Buémi (Nissan e-Dams) and André Lotterer (Porsche) complete the Top 5. Ranked behind the two men previously mentioned, René Rast (Audi) pockets the additional point for the best lap in the race.

Among the Tricolores, their first E-Prix of the weekend was strewn with pitfalls. Penultimate on the grid, Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah) received a 10-second Stop & Go for changing an element on his car before the start. The double champion of the discipline was still able to come back but finished 14th and far from the points.

Norman Nato (Venturi) was in a good position before the start but the race took a completely different turn. Sixth in qualifying, the Cannais player was put in difficulty and was also penalized for contact with Sergio Sette Câmara (Dragon Penske). He was finally disqualified for overconsumption of energy like in Rome where he thought he had scored his first podium.

Starting 18th, Sam Bird (Jaguar), leader of the championship and forced to retire, lost big against his competitors. The Englishman sees Jake Dennis return to just 2 points in the standings and António Félix Da Costa to 3. Enough to promise a lively second part of the weekend.
