After more than a month and a half of waiting, the Formula E is back ! She returns for the fourth round of the season in Brazil this Friday March 15 and Saturday March 16. In the streets of São Paulo, for our French, Jean-Éric Vergne will finally hope to climb to the highest step of the podium, while Norman Nato and Sacha Fenestraz will want to come second and get closer in the standings.
Because ahead, Nick Cassidy arrives as championship leader thanks to his three podiums, including one victory, in as many races. The New Zealander is 19 lengths ahead of Pascal Wherlein and 24 ahead of Jean-Éric Vergne.
Behind this trio, it is a safe bet that the Porsche, DS Penske, Andretti, Maserati or other Nissans will be in ambush to place one of their drivers on the podium. At the back of the grid, ERT Formula E Team, Mahindra and Abt Cupra will try to get involved in the points race.
An epic end to the race in 2023
Last year on the circuit with eleven turns and 2,93 kilometers long, traced in the streets of São Paulo, a three-way battle animated the end of the race.
At the finish line, Mitch Evans was 2 tenths ahead of his compatriot Nick Cassidy, then at Envision-Jaguar, and 5 tenths ahead of his former teammate Sam Bird, after three thrilling final laps.
However, the race had moderately favored the Tricolores. Jean-Éric Vergne finished fifth, while former teammates Norman Nato and Sacha Fenestraz were forced to retire. In total, five cars had not crossed the finish line after 35 laps.
