What a weekend for Jake Dennis in London! The Briton has just signed his second pole position of the season after having already won qualifying and Race 1 at the London ePrix. No one was able to stop the Avalanche Andretti driver who will try to conclude this double header in the best possible way this afternoon. On the starting grid, Jake Dennis will find Lucas Di Grassi alongside him.

For the first part of qualifying, the 4 title contenders all bit the dust. In Group A, it was initially Stoffel Vandoorne and Edoardo Mortara who were unable to slip into the top 4. In his last attempt, the Belgian quickly lost all hope after failing to brake at the first corner. This double elimination was therefore the opportunity for Mitch Evans and Jean-Éric Vergne to score big points in Race 2. At the very end of the clock, the Habs thought they would hold their place in the quarter-finals. But that was without counting Antonio Giovinazzi's turn. The former pilot of Formula 1 succeeded for the first time in his career in Formula E to reach the quarter-finals.

The Antonio Giovinazzi surprise

But the Italian did not intend to stop there. Opposed to the reigning world champion, Nyck De Vries, Antonio Giovinazzi continued to impress everyone by eliminating the driver Mercedes. On the other side of the final table, Jake Dennis easily disposed of Sébastien Buemi, also a surprising quarter-finalist. Facing António Félix da Costa, the Briton confirmed that he is indeed the strong man of the weekend in London with almost 4 tenths in advance.

Lucas Di Grassi ended the Italian's romance in the semi-final. But the Brazilian was unable to do anything against Jake Dennis, leaving him to once again take pole position. Race 2 of the London ePrix is scheduled for 16 p.m. this Sunday with the title contenders not going to fight at the front, but in the middle of the pack.
