Mitch Evans eclipses Jean-Éric Vergne in Jakarta

The New Zealander came to snatch victory from the hands of Jean-Eric Vergne in the final laps to sign his third success of the season. The Jaguar driver took the opportunity to move back into the championship, still dominated by Stoffel Vandoorne.

Après son doublé à Rome (9 et 10 avril), Mitch Evans (Jaguar) signe un nouveau coup d’éclat à Jakarta. Pour le premier ePrix indonésien de l’histoire, le pilote Jaguar s’est remis en marche après sa décevante 10e place à Berlin (15 mai). Le Néo-Zélandais n’était pourtant pas le plus en vue pendant les essais. Les deux DS Techeetah s’étaient mises en avant en signant les deux meilleurs temps de la deuxième séance de test. Un signe prémonitoire avant les qualifications.
