The Dutch driver is ahead of Jean-Éric Vergne and Antonio Félix Da Costa. The reigning champion, Nyck de Vries, finished in last place.

The first day of pre-season testing ended in Valencia (Spain). On the Ricardo Tormo circuit, Robin Frijns stood out by setting the best time (1'26″968). The Dutchman is ahead of the two drivers from the DS Techeetah team, Jean-Éric Vergne who is taking the lead after a complicated morning (+0″173) and Antonio Félix Da Costa (+0″175). Nick Cassidy (+0″186) and André Lotterer (+0″230) complete the Top 5.

Sam Bird, who set the best time of the morning, cannot do better than 13th position, with a delay of 1″245 on the leader. The two newcomers to the electric single-seater championship, Antonio Giovinazzi and Dan Ticktum, timidly improved their ranking compared to this morning. The Italian who rides for Dragon Penske is in 20th place with a gap of more than 3 seconds over Robin Frijns while the young Briton from the NIO 333 team grabs 18th position with more than 2 seconds behind. 

Reigning world champion, Nyck de Vries (Mercedes) finished in last place in the standings (+4″466), one place behind his teammate, Stoffel Vandoorne (+4″015).
