Stoffel Vandoorne sets the best time of the afternoon

The fourth pre-season test session took place this Tuesday afternoon in Valencia and the Belgian stood out by setting the best time, ahead of Edoardo Mortara (Venturi) and Jake Dennis (Avalanche Andretti).

The pilots of Formula E met this afternoon at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia for a pre-season testing session which lasted 3 hours. Stoffel Vandoorne at the wheel of his Mercedes signed the best time, in 1'26"045, ahead of Edoardo Mortara (+0"044) and Jake Dennis (+0"055). The Top 5 is completed by the reigning champion and teammate of the Belgian leader, Nyck de Vries (+0″114) and by Pascal Wehrlein (TAG Heuer Porsche) which is delayed by 0″131 seconds. 

The sessions follow one another but are not the same for Antonio Félix Da Costa. Leader at the end of the morning session, the Portuguese from the DS Techeetah team falls to last place in the ranking with a gap of more than 4 seconds! His teammate Jean-Éric Vergne occupies two positions above (+3″096). For his first day behind the wheel of a car electric Envision Racing, Alice Powell (+3″679) arrives in penultimate position and comes between the two drivers of the Chinese team. 

The two newcomers to the discipline, Antonio Giovinazzi (Dragon Penske) and Dan Ticktum (NIO 333) occupy 17th and 19th place. The drivers will meet tomorrow to take part in a fifth and sixth test session.
