At the end of a more than successful last season for Venturi, Susie Wolff, at the head of the team for four years – and even CEO for almost a year – confirms his departure, as Maserati prepares to begin the next chapter of the Monegasque team. Subscribed to the last places on the grid before his arrival, Venturi had a convincing last year, finishing in second place in the constructors' championship and Eduardo Mortara long in the fight for the drivers' title.

Results clearly improving

When Susie Wolff arrived within the Monegasque structure, Venturi's results were not, so to speak, at their best. After two new delicate seasons, notably in 2019/2020 where the team finished in last place in the championship, it began its rise in the standings the following year, with a seventh place overall. Before the confirmation season in 2022, where Susie Wolff took on the role of CEO of the Monegasque team, leaving the role of team director to Jérôme d'Ambrosio.

“As the most successful season in Venturi history draws to a close, so does my personal journey with the team and the Formula E. I leave with immense pride in the strong foundations we have built together, as the team begins a new chapter with Maserati.

[…] I was far from imagining, four years ago, the extent of the challenges we would face as a team. It was these difficult times that defined the resilience, faith and trust we developed in each other: to go from racing at the back to constantly fighting for victories and titles. »

From next season, Venturi begins a new chapter in its history, with the Italian manufacturer, Maserati. Long powered by Mercedes, the Monegasque team intends to rely on its good results in 2022 to remain at the top of the basket, especially as Eduardo Mortara seems to be continuing his adventure with the team. As for the second seat, however, a doubt still remains, although Maserati would like to associate the Swiss driver with a world champion in the category, in the person of Nyck de Vries.
